Stitches!!!

Last Tuesday night I heard a knock at the front door so I got up to answer it and what happens I fall down the main stairs...well I slipped... It was Erik's brother Chris & his wife and kids bringing over X-mas presents from Erik's dad. I was sooo embarrassed his brother had to help me up cause I just could not get a good step.

I took my slipper off and saw that my toe was bleeding but did not think anything of it. Erik's brother stayed for about 2 hours and I was walking on my foot just fine. After they left I decided I should look at my foot and what did I see a toe that was hardly hanging on. Erik said "We have to go to the ER right now you need stitches" I said "No way it will be fine" well it wasn't.

We got in the car and headed to the new IHC hospital and that was an experience in it's self!!! That ER was so nasty and dirty garbage everywhere and the toilet seat was broken I would have never thought a hospital would be like that. So after waiting 3 hours I got 3 stitches in my toe (the toe next to my pinkie) Erik thought it needed more stitches but the doctor said that I was saying that it hurt so he stopped!!! I was like what the heck why didn't he just put more stuff to numb it. Finally about 2:30 am we left.

It has been an experience to have stitches in my toe because it affects my walking, showering, everything....I am doing better now but what a crappy time to have this happen so close to
X-mas. Erik has been soooo awesome helping me with everything. I love him soo much!!!

BOO stitches! You are a tough women, I can't believe you hung out for two hours! ha ha
The last time I got stitches, my bird flew at me to land on my shoulder, I ducked and smacked my face on a chair, and my tooth went right through the skin beneath my bottom lip. Good times. My little sister also cut the tip of my pinkie off when I was 8. yikes!
