Erik and I enjoyed our first Christmas in our new house. We got a real tree and decorated the house. Christmas is my favorite time of year to decorate. We has Erik mom and step father along with his brother & girlfriend over for X-mas eve dinner and that was so much fun. Erik's mom bought me a gingerbread house because I have never made one. After we finished our yummy dinner we all decided we would attempt to put the gingerbread house together and let me tell you that was a hoot!!!
Christmas day was very relaxing we woke up around 8:30 and opened some presents that Erik's dad had sent us and then we both got each other a stocking. We decided not to give present to each other since we had just bought the house and that was our Christmas present. After relaxing and opening our stockings we headed up to Erik's mom house for brunch and every year she makes eggs benedict (but I don't like that) so she made me waffles (so nice of her). We also got to visit with Glenn's daughter & son-in-law (Tash & Tim) they are always so fun to hang out with. After we left there we went home for a nap and then headed out to my moms for dinner and has the BEST ribs!!! I enjoyed Christmas so much this year because it was very relaxing and not stressful. I think that's how holidays should always be.

It sounds like you guys had a great christmas. It was great to hang out with you for a little bit.
I am jealous you made a gingerbread house! I love those and we never did them this year. Looks like you had a great Christmas together. Don't you think Holidays are more fun when you are married?
